One of the only foods I’ve really been craving lately is smoothies, so I thought it would be apt to share with you my absolute favorite one that I’ve had countless times in the last few weeks!

This peanut butter banana chocolate smoothie is more like a dessert than a breakfast... but it's actually healthy!! Why not start your day in the most FUN way possible, with this super easy, delicious smoothie!

Smoothies are one of me and Ben’s favorite things to have in the morning. It’s so easy to throw some fruit into a little bag and pop it in the freezer the night before, ready to just blend up and go in the morning. It’s an easy, convenient way to incorporate more fruit into your diet. This peanut butter banana chocolate smoothie is basically like a milkshake, or a freakshake haha! It’s so thick and chocolatey, if you told me this was a dessert, I would believe you.

All that goes into this wonderful smoothie, is frozen bananas, peanut butter, some cocoa powder and plant milk. If you are craving a treat in the morning, or looking for a lightened up milkshake that still hits the spot, this is it.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas frozen
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder 100% cocoa
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 cup almond milk can be replaced with any plant milk

Instructions

  • Add everything to the blender and blend until completely smooth. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

Best served immediately, but can be transferred into a sealed container and refrigerated for a few hours. Consume within 6 hours of making, and give a good stir before eating.

    • Hi Rachel, so glad you like the look of the recipe! Yes you can definitely leave it out, or substitute it with another nut butter you do like, but leaving it out altogether will be totally fine!
